I can not stand the dust. I like not the idea of dust - it makes me sneeze. Yet the technology makes it much easier concept unpleasant. Maybe it's because the technology distracts me that I'm fun. Maybe it's just me who take this kind of pleasure. I do not have much confidence in all my appliances. However dusting is made ten times easier for me by the help of a comforting hand vac .
My new Dustbuster is very different from the first model that launched in early 1980. My father had one. I was jealous but now I am no longer. The new uses less energy, much less than other vacuums with similar specifications. The features are exceptional, with a range of features that make it a very versatile vacuum cleaner that I use in the car, at home, around the garbage anywhere I need to dust - where more large vacuum cleaner does not happen, and even if there happens, I'm using it.
As a gardener and handyman I also need a vacuum cleaner that can be used around my tool shed. And that's where I rest my left Dustbuster. It has a name. I call it John Wayne - because it looks like the beefy hero, and makes a noise hurricane before entering the fray and it is hard, and super-sturdy for its size. Its hard molded plastic shell seem to be able to take a hit here and there.
Finally, dust is not only embarrassing, it can cause serious damage to tools and appliances, and it affects people with allergies. It is therefore not only because I do not like dusting and not because I need a gizmo to help me make these annoying spots in a fun way.
And there are other reasons: a cousin came to me a few days ago. We drank tea. She saw the Dustbuster (I had left on the table) and asked me what it was. I told him it was a vacuum cleaner handy. My cousin is one to keep his house to perfection, yet it had never been a handheld unit, and for once I felt superior.
It took John Wayne in his hand, and was impressed. It was amazing when she gives me a call later to ask where she could buy one. Especially because I think not (and I do not normally like to) be considered as a kind of person who défauteuille go to dust.
It's nice to know that my choice of vacuum is copied by a cousin who otherwise would not have considered such a purchase. I had this vacuum since a month. I just hope not to get bored: the need to spend money on yet another innovative way to dust the house tempts me, dangerously.
